As I look back on this past week and a half being here at SMI, I am reminded of not only the numerous individuals I have encountered and their countless stories of trials and tribulations but also my own as well.  With everyone in this world experiencing some sort of brokenness in their life, I can’t help but remember the great freedom for all found in the saving grace of Christ shown to us through His perfect sacrifice on the cross.  Without knowing His love for me despite my own brokenness, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Thank you Jesus for Your love shown to me through the cross, justifying me and paying the price for my sins. Thank you for walking with me in my daily struggles, sanctifying me and guiding me in the journey of life for Your glory.  You are truly a God of all comfort, who cares for all of us and desires only the best for us, despite our many times of faithlessness in You. Thank you.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.”
