Firearm and community violence exposure are traditionally thought of within the domain of public safety. However, healthcare has increasingly and explicitly become more engaged in the social determinants of health. As secular systems of justice, civil society, and healthcare intersect in areas of public safety, public policy, and even the built environment, new models of interventions & therapeutics have arisen... as well as controversy. What is a Christocentric framework for understanding firearm violence, faith, and healthcare when these are among the most politically charged issues of our time?
