An Eye Toward Healthcare Outreach
MCO was excited to have Dr. John Cropsey join us for a conversation about his experience in healthcare "outreach" in sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Cropsey is a distinguished ophthalmologist who did residency locally at Wills Eye. The ophthalmology service Dr. Cropsey opened in 2014 has grown rapidly, pulling from a population base of 15 million, and offers most types of care for all ages, including treatment for retinoblastoma and laser eye surgery. Warning: Viewers may find some of the images of the eye care issues to be disturbing.
