Today was a very busy day at SMI. Many things occurred but my favorite part was the church worship. Worship at Urban Hope, where I was assigned, began around 10:30am. Like the expression “one picture is sometimes better than a thousand words,” I don’t think I can ever fully capture in words the vibrancy of Urban Hope’s worship. I was amazed at how energetic and alive the church members were. All the worship leaders were not afraid to shout out their praises to God, as if He were in the front row. Urban Hope truly wanted worship to honor God and give Him the praise he deserved through their worship style. I think Urban Hope’s worship is a great preview of the 3 weeks to come, of the type of energy and love for God we will encounter!!
