SMI Information Meeting

Interested in a hands-on medical ministry program and an opportunity for spiritual growth this summer? The Philadelphia Summer Medical Institute is a 3-week urban immersion program where Christian healthcare students learn firsthand about community healthcare, to appropriately integrate faith with career, and to center their identity in Christ during their busy academic years. Healthcare students will live and work in densely-populated Hispanic North Philadelphia, providing door-to-door health screens and sharing Christ’s love through conversation and prayer. Program partner Esperanza Health Center and local churches provide clinical referrals and spiritual follow up. Students receive training on relevant topics throughout and will have an opportunity to shadow at Esperanza.
