On the one hand it has been a fantastic week, we have been invited into many homes to do medical screenings and shared the Gospel with so many people. At the same time it has been a constant battle with my human nature as the constant heat and exhaustion that accompanies walking door to door was at times very hard to overcome even with the joy that comes with spreading the Gospel. This week has been a constant reminder that even as God is continually transforming us to be more like Him, we still have so far to go. Even so, I have to continually ask God to keep my strength up and push through to continue to spread Christ’s light in the darkness we have encountered here. We must remember that the joy and rewards of doing God’s will far outweigh the temporary discomfort of our current situation. God calls us out of our comfort and into uncomfortable situations not only to reach the lost but also to renew ourselves to be more like Christ. It is not easy but I am trusting that the joy we have in Christ and doing His will shall overcome our current exhaustion and weariness.
