Today was a special day at SMI, as we got to welcome lots of additional volunteers for a combined SMI/MCO outreach day. In total we had almost 75 people, some working at Northeast Community Church and some doing door to door outreach in our normal neighborhoods. It was awesome to see God use so many different talents in our group. A smaller portion of our team operated a health fair for Albanian Chinese communities at a nearby church, while the rest of our teams expanded our numbers to cover even more blocks than usual. It was a blessing to see so many who had served with SMI in the past return today. I felt encouraged to know that God uses SMI not only to touch the community in North Philadelphia but also to connect so many brothers and sisters in Christ who form lasting relationships.
